How it began
In August 2012, in Parramatta, Sydney, a group of Chinese Australian entrepreneurs, academics and professionals from different fields came together around a shared vision — an open and mutually supportive platform that would deepen business connections and share the trade and investment opportunities between Australia and China.
There was no elaborate ceremony, only a focus on business cooperation. On 8 August 2012 the Australia-China Commerce and Industry Alliance (ACCIA) was duly registered in Australia as a non-profit business association, formed on the initiative of entrepreneurs and professionals from a range of industries based in Australia.
For more than a decade ACCIA has held to its purpose — bringing together business wisdom and advancing trade between the two countries — working to build a people-to-people bridge for exchange and cooperation between the business communities of Australia and China. By supporting exchange visits between enterprises and promoting trade and technical exchange, we contribute to the shared growth of businesses in both places and to the prosperity of the local community.
Our purpose
To build an efficient and professional platform for exchange and interaction among members, and an environment in which members learn from one another and grow together; to promote connections and business visits between enterprises and business figures in Australia and China, supporting the steady growth of member enterprises in Australia and deepening trade and economic exchange and cooperation between the business communities of both countries.

Su Xinfeng has been described as a bridge-builder — building bridges of trust through words, and advancing cross-cultural understanding through practical action. With a steady leadership style and deep commercial insight, he has led ACCIA into a more open, professional and pragmatic stage of its development.
He has also consistently built social responsibility into the development of both his enterprise and the Alliance, championing the principles of using wealth for good and of giving back to the society that made success possible. That commitment to community work has earned wide appreciation from business circles in Australia and China and from the local community.

ACCIA today
The Alliance's business network and services now extend from Sydney to Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Tasmania and other major Australian cities. It is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, and is actively building liaison points and partner networks in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and other key commercial cities in China. However far its reach extends, ACCIA has not lost sight of what it set out to do — to be a solid platform that connects enterprises, brings business insight together and drives mutually beneficial trade between the two countries.
