Li Shuo, Deputy Director-General of the Guangxi Department of Commerce, Leads Delegation to ACCIA for Business Talks

On 7 August 2026, ACCIA held a productive business exchange with a visiting government delegation from the Department of Commerce of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

ACCIA Vice Chairman and Executive President Mr Zheng Maoqiang delivered the welcome address and introduced the Alliance to the delegation.

Deputy Director-General Li Shuo gave an overview of Guangxi's foreign trade, investment environment and key industries, along with the region's development strengths, opening-up opportunities and priorities for cooperation. The two sides exchanged views on supply chain services, commerce and trade, enterprise matching and investment promotion.

The talks centred on deepening trade and economic cooperation between Australia and Guangxi, with particular focus on supply chain services, investment promotion, commerce and trade, and enterprise matching. The frank and practical exchange deepened mutual understanding, built consensus, and moved the two sides towards sustained and effective cooperation.

Participants put forward a number of constructive and workable suggestions, further clarifying the areas in which the two sides might cooperate and how to take that cooperation forward.

The exchange was in-depth and productive. This meeting is expected to serve as a new starting point for closer ties between ACCIA and the Guangxi Department of Commerce and other relevant institutions in Guangxi, with consensus reached on cooperation across trade, investment, supply chains and enterprise services.
