Focus on AI Healthcare Innovation | Australia-China Tripartite Collaboration Presents Practical Insights and Emerging Trends in AI-Assisted TCM Diagnosis

To explore in depth the cutting-edge applications of artificial intelligence in traditional Chinese and Western medicine and smart medical devices, the "AI Medicine and Smart Device Frontier Development Forum" — jointly hosted by the Australia-China Technology Innovation Alliance (ACIA), the Australian Chamber of Commerce for Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACMCA) and the Australia-China Commerce and Industry Alliance (ACCIA), co-organised by the Australian Henan Association and the Australian Federation of Northeast China Associations, and led by Shenzhen Rennan Group — was held with great ceremony in Sydney on 7 August 2025. The event focused on innovative applications of AI technology in medical settings, shared the latest industry trends and practical case studies, and built an important international platform for Australia-China exchange and cooperation in technology and innovation.

The forum was especially honoured to welcome Counsellor and Consul Mr Jianmin Jin and Counsellor and Consul Mr Kaihong Qin, both of the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Sydney, who attended in person to discuss the integration and development of AI and healthcare.

The forum specially invited Mr Cai Mengshan of Shenzhen Rennan Group to explain the real-world medical applications of the "AI Smart Diagnostic Device," analysing on site how artificial intelligence can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of medical consultations. As a leading enterprise in China's medical AI sector, Shenzhen Rennan Group presented its self-developed AI smart diagnostic device at the forum, giving a live demonstration and sharing medical application case studies, which became the focus of attention for the whole audience.

During the demonstration, Rennan Group first introduced the core technical architecture and development philosophy behind the AI diagnostic device. By integrating data collection from the traditional Chinese medicine "Four Diagnostic Methods" (observation, listening and smelling, inquiry, and pulse-taking) with an AI analysis model, the device is able to provide preliminary constitution identification and wellness recommendations based on TCM theory.

In addition, the forum featured a dedicated roundtable and industry dialogue segment, in which professionals and enthusiasts from the fields of healthcare, AI technology, and Chinese and Western medicine took part in lively discussion. Participants engaged in in-depth exchange on the prospects for "AI plus healthcare" applications, offering valuable insights on the integration of Chinese and Western medicine, the practical use of smart devices, and Australia-China technology cooperation.

The Australia-China Technology Innovation Alliance (ACIA) is committed to connecting technology resources between Australia and China and building an international cooperation platform. Focusing on frontier fields such as artificial intelligence, clean energy and biomedicine, it promotes technology transfer and industrial upgrading, supporting Australia-China innovation and economic development.

Artificial intelligence is profoundly reshaping the global healthcare industry, driving innovation in the integration of Chinese and Western medicine and transforming smart device technology. This forum not only showcased the broad prospects and practical achievements of AI in the medical field, but also built an international platform for Australia-China exchange and cooperation in technology.
