On 11 February, the 2026 Spring Festival reception of the Chinese Consulate-General in Sydney was held in Sydney.
Representatives from political, business, community, cultural and education circles were invited to attend, joining together to welcome the Spring Festival and discuss exchange and cooperation.
Mr Zheng Maoqiang, Vice Chairman and Executive President of ACCIA, and Honorary Chairman Michael Li attended the reception.

At the reception, Consul-General Wang Yu of the Chinese Consulate-General in Sydney delivered a Spring Festival address.
Consul-General Wang Yu opened with New Year wishes, hoping that Chinese community members in NSW would embody the vigour of the dragon and horse in the Bingwu Year of the Horse, achieve swift success, take the lead, and reach even greater accomplishments.

The 2026 Consulate-General Spring Festival reception provided a valuable platform for exchange across sectors, helping to strengthen ties and build consensus.
In the new year, ACCIA will continue to take a pragmatic approach to advancing exchange and cooperation, working with all parties to promote steady development in areas of Australia-China relations.
