On 16 May 2026, ACCIA held the 3rd meeting of its 5th Council. Members of the Alliance's Presidium and Council gathered together to discuss major plans for the Chamber's development and chart a new future together.

At the meeting, ACCIA Chairman Su Xinfeng delivered the keynote work report.

Chairman Su Xinfeng gave a comprehensive overview of the Chamber's development history, organisational structure and the responsibilities of each department, summarised recent work achievements, and outlined plans for the Chamber's future development, preparations for the 6th Council, and key work priorities for the year.

Chairman Su Xinfeng said that as a non-profit community organisation, ACCIA has always upheld its mission of service, and is committed to building a platform for resource-sharing and cooperative exchange between China and Australia, helping member enterprises complement each other's strengths for mutual benefit. He expressed hope that all members would continue to pool their hearts and efforts to jointly drive the Chamber's sustained, healthy and high-quality development.

Executive President Zheng Maoqiang said in his remarks that the Chamber would fully leverage its role as a platform hub, conducting regular visits and research with member enterprises to deepen member services. At the same time, it would continue to deepen collaborative cooperation with local Chinese community organisations and various trade and economic organisations, broaden channels for China-Australia cultural exchange and economic engagement, bring together quality resources from both sides, and provide members with a higher-quality, more practical platform empowering two-way cooperation.

Honorary Chairman Qi Liuzhi pointed out that all members should uphold the principles of resource-sharing, collective development and mutual benefit, and carry forward the Chamber's spirit of selfless dedication. He called for continuing to bring in outstanding talent and quality enterprises to grow the Chamber's ranks, unite the strength of overseas Chinese business people, and work together in the same direction to keep the Chamber growing.

Vice Chairman Zheng Baohua outlined key special initiatives, confirming that the Chamber's August anniversary celebration would be placed on the priority agenda, with preparations to be launched in full, tasks broken down in detail and advanced in an orderly manner, to ensure the celebration is held successfully to a high standard and high quality.

Following this, the Chamber's Vice Chairmen and Council members spoke freely, each sharing their own views. They took turns introducing their own business operations, industry sectors and competitive strengths, and offered suggestions and ideas for the Chamber's development, sharing new thinking and proposals in a warm and cordial atmosphere.

All attendees also engaged in in-depth discussion on core topics such as optimising the Chamber's services, deepening service to the Australian Chinese community, and strengthening the bridge of China-Australia trade and cultural ties, building consensus along the way.

Everyone agreed that, while sharing platform resources and development opportunities together, all members would consciously safeguard the Chamber's reputation and platform order, stay true to their founding purpose, take proactive responsibility, and work together to protect and grow the Chamber's platform. The meeting further unified thinking, clarified goals, and effectively strengthened the cohesion of all members, laying a solid foundation for the Chamber's next phase of standardised, regularised and high-quality development. Going forward, ACCIA will continue to position itself around two-way China-Australia exchange, deepening trade and economic cooperation, deepening cultural interchange and deepening member services — genuinely playing its role as a bridge, helping deepen the integration of trade, economy and culture between China and Australia, and empowering the steady development of overseas Chinese businesses.
